Admin settings¶
Admin settings control who can send bulk messages, how messages map to users, and enterprise-level preferences.
Permission levels¶
- Owners / Admins: Full access to create, edit, schedule, and send messages.
- Managers: Can create and send messages for specific teams or segments.
- Editors: Can create drafts and templates but require approval to send.
Adjust these roles in the Admin section to meet your organization’s governance needs.
Controlling who can send bulk messages¶
Limit bulk sending to a small group of trained admins to reduce accidental broadcasts. For larger organizations, delegate per-team managers who follow a published playbook.
Recommended admin configurations¶
- Maintain a short allow-list of senders.
- Require a reason or description for each broadcast for auditing.
- Use templates for recurring communications to ensure consistency.
Enterprise considerations¶
- Single sign-on (SSO) and SCIM integration for automated user syncing.
- Custom mappings for non-standard Slack setups.
Logs and auditing¶
Employee Reminders keeps send logs and acknowledgment reports you can export for compliance. Logs typically include sender, timestamp, audience size, and a list of acknowledgers.
Warning: Retain logs according to your organization’s data retention policy and ensure exports are stored securely.
