Draft message

This page explains how to create, preview, save, and send messages from Employee Reminders.

Creating a new message

  1. Click Compose and give your message a short, clear subject and body.
  2. Choose the audience segment or upload a one-off list of recipients.
  3. Choose the sender: either Send as you or set a custom From name.

Adding acknowledgement and action buttons

You can include an Acknowledge button that records who clicked it. This is useful for compliance and read receipts.

  • Add an Acknowledge button with optional label (e.g., “I acknowledge”).
  • Add custom buttons that open external links or deep links into other tools.

Example acknowledgement flow:

  1. Employee receives DM with message and an Acknowledge button.
  2. Employee clicks Acknowledge.
  3. The app records the user and timestamp and updates the campaign report.

You can combine acknowledgment with a short follow-up action (e.g., take a quick survey) using a second custom button.

Previewing messages

Use the preview pane to see how the message appears in Slack (desktop & mobile). Previews show how buttons and attachments render.

Saving drafts

  • Save drafts to continue editing later.
  • Drafts keep your selected audience and message body so you can revisit and schedule or send later.

Sending immediately

When ready, choose Send now to deliver the message immediately. For large audiences, the app may queue sends and show a progress indicator.

Note: Some send flows may limit throughput to respect rate limits. For very large sends, consider scheduling in batches.
