Scheduling

Employee Reminders offers flexible scheduling so you can send messages at the right time.

Send once

Choose a specific date and time to send a one-off message.

Recurring schedules

Set up recurring sends for repeating reminders (daily, weekly, monthly). You can pick:

  • Frequency (daily, weekly, monthly)
  • Specific days of week (for weekly)
  • Day of month (for monthly)

Frequency options and timezones

Pick the send time and timezone. The app will send messages according to the chosen timezone so recipients in different regions receive messages at the intended local time.

How scheduled messages appear in Slack

Scheduled messages appear in the sender’s activity as “Scheduled” and recipients receive the messages at the scheduled time as normal DMs. If a message contains buttons, those will be active as soon as the message is delivered.

Editing upcoming sends

You can edit or cancel scheduled messages before they are sent. If you edit the recipient list after scheduling, make sure the final audience still maps to Slack users correctly.

Tip: For important compliance reminders, schedule a second follow-up a few days later for non-acknowledgers.
