Make the sender clear¶

The portal’s message composer lets you choose how a reminder appears in Slack.

Sender name¶

Free-plan messages use Employee Reminders. Paid plans let you enter a custom Sender name, such as People team or Security Operations. Keep it short and recognizable.

Send as yourself¶

On a paid plan, choose As you under Send identity. Connect your Slack account using the link in the composer if this option is unavailable. This requires your personal Slack authorization in addition to the app’s workspace installation.

The Slack-native composer uses the Employee Reminders app identity. Use the portal for sender customization.

Always preview a message in your own Slack DM before sharing an important update, especially after changing sender identity.
